Convenience for the textile designers and customers to view the appearance of textile in various scenes, we develop the textile simulation system in 3D virtual scene. By input textile and scene into computer, realistic effect of the cloth in 3D virtual environment can be achieved by our system, which can help the textile products fit the market better and shorten the design period.System's main work is as followings:Based on the algorithm research in Mesh-model and 3D simulation, a solution of texture scene simulation is proposed both in theory and realization, which consists of three parts:In the textile environment input module, based on Binaryzation Algorithm and Chain Coding Algorithm, an autonomous way of scene contour extraction was proposed to get the simulating areas, which simplified manual operation and improved area selecting precision. In the mesh-model module, control vector and bilinear interpolation were introduced in to model the textile's curving surface meshes. For detail changes in the scene surface, a mesh adjusting method was presented, which improved the drape view of original scene. In 3D simulation module, combined with textile anti-aliasing, a textile mapping algorithm was presented which is efficient and effective. After utilization of graphic pro-processing and image fusion, realistic texture effect was obtained by the brightness and saturation synthesis of corresponding mapping points between the scene image and the texture image. This algorithm can differentiate the light and shade of the textile from that of scene, and avoid color distortion as well. That means it assures the texture stability of mapping operation, brings a good simulation effect..Finally this textile simulation system in 3D virtual scene was achieved in PC based on the upper algorithm, and runs well in use.
