According to the requirement of cloth simulation, we present a method to simulate the realistic effect of the cloth in the 3D virtual environment. With this cloth simulation system, designer can check the real effect of their fruit in the process of design, and customers can choose their favorite cloth with the help of the simulated result. The application of this system will shorten the time, reduce the cost of cloth design and build a more efficient communication between cooperation and customers.The paper has three features:(1) According to the research of curve sculpt and the feature of textile, the system implement Bezier curve instead of polygon to fit the region path.(2)Based on the research of finite element meshing and surface sculpt technique, bilinear interpolation is proposed to model the cloth's curving surface meshes. Experimental results of curving surface modeling using the algorithm prove that this algorithm is effective, expeditious, and practical.(3)According to the texture mapping and computer color model, the system implements an easy-operating and effective interpolation method. Shading processing is also considered when we want to exactly simulate the cloth surface.
