Nowadays, displaying convenience of textile according to customers' favorite has become one of the important factors that determine textile products sales. Customers want to have some pictures of whether or not the textile products accord with their furniture and rooms. They want to see how their clothes go with their body that could be showed on screen as well. This project aimed at developing some kind of such system by which customers could just input their rooms' pictures and then have a look at the vivid simulated picture with textiles. The application of this system could shorten the time, reduce the cost of cloth design and build a more efficient communication between cooperation and customers.This paper mainly includes following contents:a) Drawing the simulating area by hand and add inner control lines;b) Doing the curve-fitting on the curves drawn by hand;c) Bilinear interpolation is then proposed to model the cloth's curving surface meshes. Experimental results of curving surface modeling using the algorithm prove that this algorithm is effective, expeditious, and practical.d) The last step is processing the texture mapping and shading. According to the texture mapping and computer color model, the system implements an easy-operating and effective interpolation method. Shading processing is also considered when we want to exactly simulate the cloth surface.The system of simulating the realistic effect of the cloth in the 3D virtual environment can get a good effect that the cloth is vividly displayed in the environment what customers provide. The system outputs a static picture of 3D simulation effect.
