Sinteing is complex physical and chemical reacting process. The traditional automation control only implement the foundation control of sinter, the set point control of in the sintering process and simply close loop control for some reason, which limit of detection means, complexity, lag behind, variability of sintering process. It is difficult to implement automation control of BTP with accurate mathematical model, because it is influenced by many factors. Control of BTP can influence the quality and quantity of sinter production directly. So how to use the optimization way to control the burn through point is very important.The paper introduces the principles and methods of furnace burning control and material thickness control. The furnace temperature is optimised by furnace burning control, to ensure a good sintering. The sinter feeding is evened by material thickness control, to improve the state of sintering in different sinter sections.BTP Fuzzy control system is using a combination of feedback and feedforward control strategies. In the actual sintering process, due to the influence of the mixed material permeability or equipment defects, it is difficult to get the ideal BTP location directly. So BTP loop control can not be achieved. Fuzzy control method optimizes this controling method. Referring home and abroad fuzzy control models, according to deviation of setting and calculation value of BTP and emissions temperature difference of the middle winbox, the speed control of sintering machine will be adjusted in accordance with certain rules.After the sinter put in normal use. We get the good effect, operation simply, maintaintence the low rate, higher-precision control than the old sinter.
