With the development of the digital signal processor and the field programmable gate arrays, digital hardware system with DSP and FPGA has been widely used in radar signal processing. The greatest advantages of this system are flexible structure, strong applicability, short development period, easy maintenance.This dissertation is about the back-end signal processing in localization and communication system.The purpose of localization is to get the information of azimuth and diastance.The azimuth is obtained by using the theory of angular measurement in monopulse radar, while the distance is obtained by counting the time delay between transmitted pulse and received pulse. In this system, signal processor is required to have the ability to calculate the distance and azimuth of the shooter, which should be transmitted to data processing component by RS-422 timely. While in communication, signal processor is also required to transmit the communication data to data processing component timely. The purpose of the design is to realize the localization and the communication.The main contents are as follows:1. Introduce the solution of localization and communication system. Propose a system which consists of A/D+FPGA+FPGA+DSP to complete these tasks.2. according to the solution. Complete the hardware design including schematic circuit diagram design and printed circuit board design with Capture and PowerPCB.3. Complete the software program of the FPGA, realize the timing translation and signal control.4. Get hold of the theory of monopulse estimation, analyze the location data using matlab, complete the algorithm program on BF533, and realize location and Communication.5. Test and modify the design, do outfield experiment to inspect the location precision and the bit error rate in communication.
