Receiver is one of the important parts of the wireless communication system. With the development of wireless communication technology, receiver has been widely used in the fields of mobile communication, satellite communication, broadcasting and television communication, radar, electronic warfare and others.The subject comes from Chengdu Sine Science and Technology Ltd, mainly including 1.5GHz-1.6GHz switching amplifier and 5.3GHz-5.9GHz limiting amplifier. The 1.5GHz-1.6GHz switching amplifier provides three switching signals, and the 5.3GHz-5.9GHz limiting amplifier can receive 20w pulse power. The low noise amplifiers in the two projects have to meet the requirements of noise figure, gain, and input and output voltage standing wave ratio.At first, the designing principle of the critical devices of RF (radio frequency) front-end receiver is introduced in this paper. Then the operational characteristic of PIN, and its application in microwave switch and limiter is represented. After that, the main technological index and designing mothed of LNA (low noise amplifier) are demonstrated. Subsequently, the scheme of the switching amplifier with the frequency range 1.5GHz~1.6GHz and the limiting amplifier with the frequency range 5.3GHz~5.9GHz , the realization of performance indices, and some questions which must be paid attention in the module design are presented. Finally, the testing results are given and meet the index requirements.
