With the rapid development of digital TV technology's, many digital broadcast TV standards mostly based on MPEG-2 transport stream TS (Transport Streams) mechanism are produced, such as DVB, ATSC and so on. They respectively define in different transmission medium on how to achieve TS transmission.Not only MPEG-2 video and audio data but also many other data information can be compressed into TS data stream. In nowadays, MPEG-2 TS format has already been widely adopted in TVB in our country. With the rapid development of computer science and technology, PC is introduced to process TS data, and it make the content of TS more coloful and safty. So the design of DVB TS stream transmitter based on the PC platform is badly needed in the field of digital broadcast TV.In the DVB broadcast TV system, because of its advantages of high speed, reliable, accurate and so on, ASI interface is becoming a wide useful interface, it can be used in all kinds of point-to-point transimission occasion, especially in video transimission system.There is no ASI interface in PC, so the data exchanage between PC and DVB broadcast system is becoming more difficulty. A cost-effective DVB TS-sent card, based on PCI bus, which can accquire MPEG-2 TS data from the PC and sent them to the broadcast system is introduced in this issue. This card perfectly solved the problem of high speed realtime data exchange between PC and DVB broadcast system.FPGA (field programmable gate array) is aften used to reallize custum digital logic. With the help of IP core, design of digital interface logic is become much easier and灵活的than before. Compared with the traditional design method, the use of IPcore can dramatically shorten the development cycle, decrease the develop cost and improve the system performance of the integrated circuit board .The DVB TS interface card presented in this dissertation is based on Altera's PCI IP core and comercial ASI IP core. This card greatly reduced the system cost and is satisfied with the system requirements very well.
