According to the problems of existing live media streaming system.A P2P—based live media streaming system is brought forward.Each peer in the system is not only consumer of live streaming service , but also provider of live streaming service.It overcomes the server bottleneck of current existing systems when the user seale is large and has the characteristic of low requirement of network bandwidth and server processing ability,easy deployment and high scalability draft, But,since characteristics of IP network,packet loss that impairs quality of video delivery severely is inevitable . This thesis adopts FEC(Forward Error Correction) and implements an error resilient for video trafismission with FEC.By this way,the quality of the images transmitted on channel with noise interference call be greatly improved.The contributions of this thesis include:1. on the basis of analyzing P2P network technologies,we put forward the critical mechanisms and its algorithm,wich can form a P2P system.based on this,we can do further study.2. we studied on the key technologies of streaming media,and put forward the relevant solution for high quality transmission and new study guideline.3. we also studied on FEC scheme and how we implement it in our streaming media technologies.4. we worked out scheme of streaming media, and put forward a abstract scheme for the streaming media transmission system.5. we simulated this transmission scheme on NS-2 platform, and draw a conclusion.We mainly focus on media control layer, study its architecture and how we realize it with all kinds of algorithms, in which data assigning strategy and data control protocol are proposed, based on this peers contributed their different bandwidth in term of their desire.In order to ensure the media files are played continuously and system can be expanded capacity of system fast,data caching module must cache some media segments in light of requesting peers in order to avoid intermitting during transportation,peers can select fond segment to store too.
