| Video surveillance system is an integrated system which refers to computer technology, communication technology and digital video technology. With the development of network technology,embedded technology and video technology, it has been possible to transport and control digital video data on network in real time. Embedded video surveillance system is a new digital video surveillance system based on embedded system technology, video technology and real time network transport technology. Compared to the old video surveillance system, it has many advantages, such as stability, real time performance, functions and price etc. It is also the direction of research and development in video surveillance system.In this thesis, the video surveillance system based on network is deeply studied. The system is developed based on S3C2410 processor. The H.264 technology, embedded Linux are uesed in designing the system.First, in this paper, an expatiation is given to the overall design program and functional features of the hardware and software of the system; then a detailed discussion is given to the building program of development platform based on the embedded Linux operating system. The program includes the configuration of development tools, kernel considerations, root file system and bootloader setting up. The focus is on detailed discussion mainly program design and implementation of the driver based on the platform, and narration on the development of video compression technology and the characteristics of H.264. Lastly, is there an introduced to implementation of H.264. Protocol with Video4Linux intersections based on the Linux platform in accordance with platform features and system functional requirements.Compressed image data based on the results of the TCP / IP protocol transmission are transmitted through UDP protocol. The program includes network communication modules that are servers and clients to achieve a comprehensive embedded network video monitoring system. |
