Reliability and stability, which take the key roles in building modern network, have become more and more important. The working status of Base Station Transceiver System influences the wireless network's service quality directly. The stability and dependability of the control system in Base have great significance for the entire communication network because of the universality and decentralization of the geographical distribution of the Base Station Transceiver System.Base Station Transceiver System is a kind of complex distributed, embedded system which consists of several modules. Control system, as one of the important parts of the software system of the Base Station Transceiver System, mainly completes the control functions of the hardware subsystem of the Base Station Transceiver System. For instance, the control of the start-up/reset process, the control of switching the Active/Standby control boards, the control of communication link, and the transmit power of radio frequency link as well as the alarm/un-alarm of the Operation & Management Centre. In a word, Control system is the core of the Base Station Transceiver System's software system from the perspective of function.Aims at the CDMA2000 Base Station Transceiver System, the dissertation designed and implemented a control system of Base Station Transceiver System. In the control system, function modules which are relative independent coupled with each other through information, and exchange with external software modules trough messages and functional transfers. The controlled CPU boards download software through FTP protocol from the Flash of the control boards to start the boards. And the new method for switching Active/Standby control boards by increasing pre-process operations provided in this dissertation could shorten the switching time greatly and reduce the storage of the service boards, and finally improve the system's reliability. To solve the complex control problems caused by the multi-carrier system, this design adopted an auto-calibrate method based on multi-instances process, and at the same time, it satisfied the requirement of wireless overlay by adjusting various radio frequency links to shorten the auto-calibrate time and reduce the interference for the operation system. In order to help maintainers to monitor the network running better and improve the maintenance efficiency, this design could accomplish the detection of the system by inquiring and reporting in turns. In this way, it could offer exact, reliable and timely alarm to help maintainers to discover problems and make the confirmation earlier and finally solve the problems as soon as possible.
