In recent years with the rapid development of information technology, enterprise andcustomers on the network service quality demand more and more. For some important service, it isthe request of the system can work for uninterrupted. A single machine or server will inevitablybreaks down, once appear, fault brings to the enterprise to the loss of unpredictable.Hot-standbysystem is usually refers to prepare for an important service, at the same time, two sets of operationof the same server, two server are backup, common operation the same tasks. When one serverfailure, another one can undertake service in time to ensure that the system is interrupted.With the embedded system in real time in the industrial control area by the widespread use ofsome of the high demand for real-time field how to ensure that the dual machine in the process ofthe switch has become the accuracy and efficiency of the hot topic. The research for dual machinefor embedded RTOS heat in the realization of the operation, the VxWorks embedded RTOSresearch to ARM9 as hardware platform, and combined with the modern mature industry bus (485bus and the CAN bus) technology, made to monitoring unit ARM box for dual machine thermalsolutions has high practical value.This thesis's main job is designing the upper series of control software of the system ofhot-standby. The realization of the control software mainly includes three parts, they are CANcommunications module , 485 communications module , double fault-tolerant scheme module . Thethesis on the realization of the three major modules are discussed in detail. In software design iscompleted, to a single ARM board and respectively double machine were tested, and from variousareas of dual machine thermal design for the system are verified. Through the experiments, thisthesis proved the design of the hot-standby system has a high for reliability and practical value.
