Analysis And Implementation Of Digital Trunking Communication System Terminal Handset Signaling

Trunking communication system is an advanced private/professional mobile communication system and public access mobile communication system. Based on digital mobile technology, the digital trunking communication system is of efficient frequency utility, much more system capability, security, various services and flexible network management. The digital trunking communication system is wildly used in a lot of fields, for example, public security, field services, utilities, military, etc.. MTS system is the digital trunking communication system satisfied the requirements of public security department. The project this thesis involved is to research and develop the handset of MTS system. The responsibility of the thesis is to analyse and define the signalling criterion of direct mode operation in MTS system, and realize on OMAP5912 chip.In the first part of the thesis, the characteristics of digital trunking communication system and MTS system are introduced. At the second, the different direct mode call procedures are detailed in the thesis, especially the constraints on the frame structure. According to the requirements of direct mode call control, the thesis completes the design of signalling software, including the signalling data frame structure, the protocol timer, channel monitoring procedure and dual-core inter-communication on OMAP5912 chip. Finally, the procedure of signalling software testing are supplied, and a set of testing result to illuminate the testing procedure are also presented.
