Due to the spaceborne Synthetic Aperture Radar's key role both in the military and the civilian fields, it's really of great significance for the research on it. This paper uses the computer simulation technology to created a shortcut for reasearching on the complex spaceborne SAR system. With advanced computer simulation technology, the virtual simulation platform of space borne SAR can be established, and the new theory can be assessed on that platform.The distributed simulation system using High Level Architecture (HLA) has a good performance on reusability and interoperability. Based on the research on spaceborne SAR system, this paper uses the HLA method to distribute every part of the system to different computers, and standardizes the means of communication, realises the simulation of the spaceborne SAR system.This paper shows the design of distribution pipeline simulation system of the space borne SAR, which is based on the HLA simulation technology. The main works are as follows:First of all, this research analyses the principle of the spaceborne SAR system and the Range-Doppler algorithm. Also, this paper has researched on the architecture of HLA and the process of the federation development, as to provide a foundation for the design of the simulation system.Secondly, based on the object-oriented method, designed the Platform, DataArrange and SignalProcess federate members of the system according to the layered design architecture.Then, designed multi-threaded program of the range curvature correction algorithms and azimuth compression algorithms based on the multi-core processors. At last, test the Platform, DataArrange and SignalProcess federate members within the spaceborne SAR simulation system. The results of running the simulation system has verified its correctness.
