WSN(Wireless Sensor Network)was a new intelligent control and monitoring Network combining sensor technology with computer and communication technology,it had become a hot point in the field of wireless communication.As a kind of short-range wireless communications technology, ZigBee technology has adopted a simple four lays of architecture.The PHY layer and the MAC layer in the ZigBee protocol architecture was formulated by IEEE 802.15.4 protocol standards,and the other layers with network layer and the application layer were defined by the ZigBee Alliance.ZigBee had many advantages, e.g., low-cost,low transmission rate, large network capacity and so on,which had maked ZigBee technology have a great advantage in wireless sensor networkIn this paper,it was mainly descripted how to use ZigBee technology to build a wireless sensor network and use it to achieve the remote data monitoring.The main research contents of this dissertation were recapitulated as follows:First of all,the research background and significance,and wireless sensor networks current research status were presented in the paper.Then ZigBee technology was introduced intensively,which detailed descriptions of the function about the physical layer,MAC layer, network layer and application layer,and it was simply introduced that the process of ZigBee device to create network and join the network.The next,the design of the system hardware and software were presented in detail.In the hardware side,the overall frame of hardware design was proposed,and the wireless microprocessor and sensor were designed specifically and respectively,included CC2430,DHT91,PT100,serial communication module and so on.In the software side, the TI’s Z-stack protocol and source program structure were analyzed;the end nodes and coordinator nodes’s communication program,temperature and humidity,and voltage test procedures were introduced,and the PC interface was designed byVC++ and embedded into the third party configuration software successfully.Finally,the overall function of the whole system was tested, such as created network,collected voltage and temperature value,and transported distance.Then the initial goal that building a stable and flexible monitoring and control network were achieved successfully.
