Study, Based On Third-party Logistics, Warehouse Management Information Systems

With the development of market economy, and the transformation from industrial society to information society, the producing conduct and management of modern enterprises are enduring profound revolution. And the management of resource is in the process of transforming from "lengthways unionization" to "horizontal unionization", which differ from each other at controlling source directly and gaining source indirectly. They leave the business which is not central to the companies to other professional companies, so as to increase their own companies' efficiency. That is the case that the third party logistics enterprises which specialize in logistics has been born and develops robustly.The third party logistics is one of the best contemporary logistics patterns. The supply chain management is the foundation of the forming the third party logistics. Information is the evident character of the third party logistics. As China has a vast scale, the material is flowing frequently in home. After China's enrollment in WTO, the material flow between China and foreign countries is becoming more and more frequent too. However, comparing with Japan, the USA, and Europe countries, the development of third party logistics is more slowly. The lagged third party logistics will influence the goods producing and trading both home and abroad. With the persistent increasing of economy size and enhancement of effect on trade both home and abroad, the function of the third party logistics on economy will be stronger and stronger.The warehouse management is the center string and platform of the third party logistics; it's also the critical node of the supply chain. High efficiency warehouse management can reduce the inventory and cut the cost, raise the competition of the whole supply chain, bring the win-win effect both to the third party logistics enterprise and the customer enterprise. Therefore, whether in the manufacturing industry or in the field of the materials circulation, the warhouse management has been the focus research in academic and enterprise. As the application and success of information technology in all walks of life, research of the information of the warehouse management is becoming the focus.This paper merges the technology of information management and the idea of the supply chain management, particularly describes the basic theories,transaction process, increment space,and the automated and informational technology of warehouse management. It also refers methods of the fashionable VMI and Joint Management Inventory, researches the inventory cost and inventory management of the third party logistics; Towards the main body of warehouse action, I classified it into three grades as warehouse,area,location. This type of category method can flexible manages the location according to materials' specification and warehouse's setting. At the same time, the information system of warhouse management based on the third party logistics was been analysised and designed using the theory and method of the management information system.On the basis of the B/S frame, make use of the Windows 2000 operate system and SQL Server database, adopting the ASP.NET development condition and C# development tool; I have done the system development. The system fulfils the function of the warehouse management such as received management,warehouse entry management,dandy management,inventory control,basis data,safe stock setting,comprehensive query and so on. This paper can give reference for the research of warehouse management and the in-depth study in the third party logistics management.
