The fermentation is a very complicated process. The fundamental of optimal operation and control of the biochemical reaction process is online measurement. The parameters such as substrate consistency, product consistency etc that can not be acquired online due to the complication and lack of appropriate sensor can be obtained through offline analyzing. In addition, some of the parameters, such as O2 utilizing rate, CO2 releasing rate and respiratory quotient can only be got by indirect calculation and these parameters are of great significance to the studying metabolic state of fermentation. The subject'online measurement and control of the biology ferment'is self-selected issue according to realistic need of biology fermentation technology. The main mission of this paper, the data acquisition system, including hardware developing and software programming, is developed and actual ferment data acquired and processed. Based on low frequency feature of the data to be acquired, A single chip MCU system for data acquiring is developed and connected to a personal computer through RS232. The procedure for data acquiring, data processing, graphical illustrating is programmed under LabVIEW graphic language environment. On-site test showed the measuring, online graphic displaying, data storing for the contents of the O2 and CO2 in the exhaust, The second calculate data for O2 utilizing rate, CO2 releasing rate, respiratory quotient as while as historical data playback are completely realized. The control idea of related parameters is put forward. The achievement of this paper supplied a good support for immediate offline analysis of biochemical process and optimal control. The further studying of the subject is underpinned by results of this paper.
