Nowadays, information has played an important role in our lives. TV and mobile phone are information terminals which have single function, they have wonderful market. PMP (Portable Media Player) is a portable terminal which is integrated by several functions. Its market prospect is much larger than TV and mobile phone. So, once PMP was born in information society, it had attracted many powerful factories which are good at making CMOS ships and integrity machines. After many years of introducing of the market, the field of PMP has entered a phase of growing in the manner of fulminating.PMP has broad space of defining the conception, combining the functions, making a price, breaking through the technology, leading the market, fractionize the market and so on. PMP, which has integrated the function of receiving in mobile digital television can not only receive digital television, but also solve the problem of program source. On the other hand, that NAND FLASH has large capacity is very important for processing large growing audio frequency and video frequency program sources. The capacity of the battery is limited in PMP, and there is dire need to use large capacity battery and manage battery efficiently.The research of PMP is mainly consist of three aspects: kernel processing unit program, embedded system, key technology. This dissertation mainly researches the system design and key technology research of PMP which base on SOC (System On Chip), the terms of this dissertation are that:Program of implement. The main technical programs of PMP are analyzed, after that, the processor selection is completed, and then system structure is designed, detailed theory design and product design are completed.Researching and designing of the three key technologies. Firstly, researching and designing of the mobile digital TV receiver module, including the mobile digital TV standards research, chip selection, interface selection and circuit design. Then large-capacity NAND FLASH expanded research and design are introduced, which comprise of chip selection, working principle research of NAND FLASH, circuit design, etc. Finally, researching, designing and debugging of the Power Management Unit of PMP are introduced.Realization of the system, including of designing consideration, PCB design and simulation, debugging module design, system debugging steps and methods and the key point waveform test.
