Epc Information Services Based On Web Service

As a new automatic identification technology, RFID technology developed rapidly in recent years at home and abroad. Because RFID system was the support for enterprise's core business system and it often couples with business system, the change and extension of RFID system affected badly business system. This resulted that lots of enterprises keep cautious attitude to RFID system. RFID middleware had resolved extension of hardware. This thesis focused on RFID information service system for business system that was between RFID middleware and business system.Web service was given too much attention in the field of information technology in recent years. The application of systems even the boundaries between enterprises could be crossed by web Service technology. Web service has many advantages, such as loose coupling, independence of the concrete technology, interoperability, composition programming access capabilities, through the firewall and so on. These advantages just right resolved RFID systems and business systems tightly coupled problem and achieve RFID information sharing.In this thesis, through analysis of various application requirements and the current lack of application solutions, studying and analysis of EPC system and EPCglobal standard in-depth, based on the Web Service technology, EPC Information Service System of supply chain management was designed and implemented. It could used for enterprise applications systems (such as ERP systems) to provide individual identification services, also for enterprises in between to provided facilitate interaction to solve the enterprise business system's dependence on the RFID system and implement RFID information sharing.Several advantages of My EPCIS based on Web Service were as follows:1. loose coupling with business system2. good expandability3. capability of getting through the firewall4. capability of crossing applications even enterprises. The thesis firstly introduced the critical technology on EPC system——RFID technology, analyzed the existing RFID software systems, then introduced EPC and EPC system architecture, analyzed EPCglobal standard and its workflow, implemented an EPC Information Service based on EPC standards and Web Service technology, finally tested services.
