Resources and the environment are hot issues of the society at present. Remote sensing technology, a powerful techinique to study earth resources environment, is widely used in each field of national economy. In order to strengthen supervision and management of mineral resources exploitation and to put an end to the outstanding problems(such as unauthorized and wasteful mining and environment pollution) in the process of mining, Shandong Institute of Homeland Surveying and Mapping commissioned by Shandong Provincial Department of Land and Resources has launched the satellite RS survey and dynamic monitoring study on Cangshan mining area in Shandong Province. Based on the project, use advanced RS techniques to study the mining situation and dynamic monitoring in this paper, which is of great significance in implementing the principle of mining law for the government, rectifying mining order, restoring the ecological environment and promoting the process of building a harmonious society.In this paper, taking Cangshanxian as the study area, the author uses QuickBird and SPOT5 satellite images as the main information sources and preprocesses RS images, including accurate radiometric correction, geometric correction, data integration, information extraction and completed thematic maps of RS dynamic monitoring in Cangshanxian mining area. During the process of integrating high-resolution images, employ HIS transformation method, major ingredient analysis and Brovey transformation methos to integrate images and make quantitative evaluation on the integration result.Through the extraction of RS image transformation,visual observation, interpretation and the verification survey on images in the field, determine the mining status in Cangshanxian. Use Mapinfo software to make RS monitoring materials actualize integration management of vector and grid, spatial information and attribute information, and what's more, to realize quick checking, retrieving, visual expression and output of various thematic maps of mining dynamic monitoring information in order to provide efficient and effective information support for mining development and management.Three-dimensional simulation on Cangshan area directly reflects the topography and macro landscape patterns here, and displays the spatial distribution and dynamic environment of mining resources, providing a macro, vivid qualitative and quantitative analysis basis for the development and utilization of mine resources and the investigation of illegal mining exploitation.The contradiction between people and land is a great problem now. There is no time to delay to reconstruct landscape ecology on a great number of abandoned mines. In the last part of this paper, the author makes the evaluation on landscape ecological reconstruction and proposes the renewal strategy of mine landscape ecology.
