In virtual reality technology, 3D display technology has occupied an important position. Based on visual temporary stay effect, the high-speed scanning, and fast rotation of the LED two-dimensional array screen, will creat a vivid three-dimensional display scene in a volumetric space, which is called volumetric display technology is becoming a hot research subject in the field of 3D display area currently. Nowadays, the development of a huge volume, high voxel, true color LED volumetric 3D display has become the tendency, and it needs a big LED display screen, which will required critically on the mechanical system supported the high speed rotation movement of the LED screen.In this thesis, the LED 3D display system with high voxel, true color volumetric display performance, which will truly meet human visual habits, is presented. Much more focusing point of the thesis is on the mechanical movement effect to the 3D display performances. The theoretical model, expounds stability requirement and composition of display system are analyzed in the thesis. Analyzes the basic attributes of the screen should own to achieve the ideal reconstruction quality of 3D images by using of the technology above.In volumetric 3D display, the influence of its mechanical movement errors to the reconstruction quality of 3D images is presented by theoretical analysis and stimulation. Emphatically analyses the effect from swing and the main axial movement. The result shows that the main axial movement influences vertical resolution and swing influences horizontal resolution. And the relation between amplitude of the error and display quality is found. And finally, the method to calculate the tolerance of mechanical systems for volumetric 3D display is made.Basing on the above mentioned theoretical research and simulation, the mechanical calculation and mechanism system design has been presented. Aerodynamic drag calculation, balance calculation, critical velocity calculation of rotors and torque checking are emphatically analyzed. And the main motion parts are designed.
