True Three-Dimensional Volumetric Display Technique is thecutting-edge technology of three-dimensional display for the naked eyes.This technique can provide perspective for multi-people without anyauxiliary devices and the three-dimensional graphics can be observed fromany angle in the space range of360°.Due to the building of truethree-dimensional imaging space, the previous three-dimensional displaystate which only has psychological depth but lack of physical depth isbroken. Thus a true three-dimensional display is achieved.In this paper, several typical three-dimensional display technologyprinciples is firstly analyzed, including parallax three-dimensional display,holographic3D display as well as true three-dimensional display whichinvolves static imaging techniques and dynamic volume scanningtechnology. Then it analyzes the true three-dimensional volumetric displaytechnique based on LED rotating display screen. Through the design of thedisplay platform, a true three-dimensional display system based on LEDrotating screen is constructed from two aspects: the mechanical and electrical, relies on the principle of human visual persistence.Voxel data coordinates in three-dimensional space is converted totwo-dimensional space with section principle. A new scanningmethod-curvilinear grid discretization, which is used for processing thepositional relationship of the images and LED lights accurately, is proposed.This method which can do maximize reduction of a variety of complexcurves on the LED screen lay a good foundation for the accuratethree-dimensional surface shape.Finally, true three-dimensional display is simulated, and differentrotation speed zone which will affect the true three-dimensional displayeffect is verified by the experiment of the hardware platform. Theexperiment shows that there exists an optimum motor rotation speed zone,which can make the best display effect; and there is also a speed saturationregion to ensure the display effect. |
