Study Of Political Philosophy, As The Domain Of Public Media

Along with the advance of science and technology and social development, human society has entered a global propaganda and mass media epoch. Public Media is entering the field of social life extensively with a high speed, and affects each other. Moreover, it is going down deep to the field of political life and plays an irreplaceable role in the establishment of modern democratic society. However, Public Media is only treated as a Propaganda Instrument at present, which would surely hinder people from studying its innate value. Taking historical realism as guiding ideology, the thesis tries to analyze public media as a relatively independent theoretical system with the purpose of finding out its political philosophical significance. Therefore, the author endeavors to introduce the birth and development of Public Media systematically, derive new achievements from domestic and foreign academic circles critically, find out the political philosophical function of Public Media by analyzing its structure, essence, value and plight under Marxist theory, and discuss its significance and responsibility in the construction of modern Chinese civilization. As a social cultural contact sphere existing between national power and private realm, Public Media is open to all the citizens, take public interest as a home to return, adopt public opinion as a measure, and take media as a main instrument. On the one hand, criticizing and opening-up is the character of Public Media, on the other hand, taking freedom, democracy and justice as its foundation. Public Media supervises, criticizes and interferes in national power and defends such permanent human value ideals as democratic politics, freedom and equality, human rights protect, and fairness and justice. At present, Public Media can provide ideal support and power mechanism, and develop new ways for Chinese political civilization construction.
