The Research On Retrieval Of XML Document Educational Resources Based On Celts-3 Standard

Education informatization is an important component of the national development of information technology. The modern educational technology which is based on the network has been developed rapidly. Educational Technology Committee of National Information Technology Standardization Committee has published the Standard of "Learning Object Metadata", that is, Celts-3 Standard, which makes modern educational resources have the following two prominent characteristics: First, a standardized structure; Second, a standardized bindings with XML. At present, that how to improve the searching efficiency and accuracy is the problem that the retrieval of XML document educational resources mainly faces, which is based on Celts-3 Standard.The study of XML information retrieval mainly deals with two aspects: First, the indexing technology; Second, the querying technology.In order to meet the demands of retrieval of XML document educational resources based on Celts-3 Standard, this thesis mainly does research on the querying technology of XML information retrieval, and improves it, with the purpose of achieving a suitable querying method for the retrieval of XML document educational resources, meanwhile realizing a retrieval system of XML information based on Celts-3 Standard.The study in this thesis mainly includes the following three aspects: First, the selection of querying model. Considering the features of the XML educational resources based on the Celts-3 Standard, select a querying model that has a high querying efficiency, and the querying algorithm of whom is easy to determine and manage the XML document based on Celts-3 Standard. This model must take into consideration the structure information and keyword information of querying, making the user to obtain the expected result which is easy to understand, with no ambiguity. Second, the study on querying relevance ranking algorithm. According to the features of the XML educational resources based on the Celts-3 Standard, study and improve the retrieval algorithms of traditional information, putting forward a suitable relevance algorithm of XML document's querying based on Celts-3 Standard. Third, design and realize a XML document information (which is based on Celts-3 Standard) retrieval system C3XS (Celts-3 define XML document search System). The main purpose of C3XS design is to adopt an appropriate querying algorithm to retrieve the document according to Celts-3 Standard. The experiment has proved that the C3XS system could do the retrieval of XML resources according to Celts-3 Standard more accurately and efficiently.
