Based On The Tms320dm320 The Portable Multimedia Player (pmp) System Hardware Design And Realization

PMP(generally referred as MP4) has become a hotspot of electronic product in consume category following MP3. Therefore R& D on software and hardware products taken PMP as its core framework has gradually become leading electronic products, particularly portable electronic products.At first, the article gave a description and comparison to the condition of current PMP scheme, then put forward an overall design requirement. According to the requirement, the article chose ARM+DSP dual-core processor (TMS320DM320 chips of Texas Instruments company) as core of the project, and put forward the overall hardware framework for the project. On the basis of these, according to the functional demand and design, and the part of work that the author took part in and shouldered in the project, the article made an analysis and model-chosen design for the hardware block of PMP system, as well as gave an analysis and proposed a solution to the circuit deficiency. Finally, the article carried out the project implementation and system test on the PMP hardware. After summarizing the test result, the article completed the overall design requirement of the system of hardware.The project of"portable multimedia applied sofeware"based on this hardware platform of the project has successfully applied for"Innovation fund of the national science and technology department". It has also gained a highly praise from Shanghai scientific committee in a report, and it was claimed as"the project is innovative and useful, the general technology takes the lead domesticly and reach advanced level internationally.The hardware design scheme of the project has already successfully been applied on a PMP product and has been marketed at the end of 2006.
