| On the basis of the introduction of basic microwave multiplier theory, this paper further analyzes the nonlinear characteristics of the frequency multipliers, especially the basic mechanism of step recovery diode multiplier, whose design and realizing methods are presented. Then we use the software Ansoft to design and simulate the multiplier chain which can make the 100MHZ input signal to 5000MHZ. Finally, measurement and tuning work of the ten times multiplier are undertaken. The multiplier works stability and achieves the aim required. |
