XXX type mobile 3D radar is the first mobile 3D radar developed by 14TH ResearchInstitute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation. In this paper, the basictheory on finite element method which can be used for the structure analysis of thehigh-speed mobile platform used for this radar and the principles and method for theoptimized design of the structure parameters are briefly described. In it, the finite elementcalculation models of the PLS pray of the shelter and the bearing platform for the antennaare set up. The rigidness analysis is made by using the finite element software—ANSYS orI-DEAS to obtain the stress distribution in the all static operation situation; The models andmethods for the optimized design for the structure parameters of the PLS pray of theshelter are put forward and the ANSYS software is used to make optimized design for itand analyze the feasibility of the optimized results. The improvement direction when theactual structure design of the pray is made is given. The modal analysis for the high-speedmobile platform is carried out and the natural frequency and modes of this platform isreceived and analyze the effects on the radar performances.The method and procedures of the finite element analysis for the high-speed mobileplatform of the radar described in this paper can be used for the reference when thehigh-speed mobile platform for other mobile radar is designed and analyzed.
