The millimeter wave in the non-atmospheric window is absorbed and scatteredintensively when it transmits in the aerosphere. So its transmission distance is very short.However, the short-range radar that works on the non-atmospheric window actualizes thebetter characteristics such as the anti-jamming, secrecy and concealment. Based on theMMW's transmission characteristics in the non-atmospheric window, this paper studies onthe signal detection and ranging analysis of the 5mm FMCW short-range radar system.Firstly, this paper discusses the 5mm wave's attenuation characteristics in the differentweather to confirm the feasibility in the theory. By the analyses on the effect range and theanti-jamming characteristic of the radar system, it proves that the non-atmospheric windowMMW radar can be adapt to the short-range detection. The radar system has the bettercharacteristics in the secrecy and anti-jamming fields.Secondly, this paper analyzes the ranging principle of the FMCW radar and thedifference frequency signal on the time-domain and frequency-domain. Based on thedemands in the fact and the theory, the paper gives the parameters of the MMW frequencymodulation ranging system. Based on the demand of the system on the signal process, itdiscusses the processors found on the DSP and the pulse counting method, respectively.Finally, the paper mainly analyses the processor found on the pulse counting method.And it studies the realization of the radar processor...
