Short-range Radar chooses to work on non-atmospheric window, because of its shorter detecting range, atmospheric attenuation can be ignored. Thus Millimeter wave radiometer working on long range and jamming radiometer can't easily spy and jam radar's work. So it has choiceness anti-jamming character. On the base of the propagation characters of millimeter wave in non-atmospheric window, the paper mainly study signal detection and ranging analysis on 5.5mm band FMCW short-range radar system.Firstly, this paper analyzes the action distance and anti-jamming character of non-atmosphere window millimeter wave radar. The millimeter wave radar in non-atmosphere can be used widely in short detecting. It has choiceness anti-jamming character. Secondly, this paper expatiates the theory about FMCW short-range radar, including the calculation of its detecting range and how to choose its parameters. At last, this paper discusses the processor based on DSP. In order to improvement the performance of the whole system and reduce the cost, a new signal processor is given, which based on the pulse count method.
