In this thesis, research on the basic scheme of the miniature low phase-noise mm-wave phase-locked frequency synthesizer is presented, and the circuit design and testing of the function component――the X-band low phase-noise single output frequency synthesizer are also given.With the phase-noise model of the phase loked loop(PLL) and the analysis of spur characteristic of fractional-N frequency synthesizer using∑-⊿ modulating technology, the scheme of PLL with mixer+quadrupler is confirmed as a result. Finally, the X-band low phase-noise single output frequency synthesizer is designed and tested, and the measured results show that, this frequency synthesizer can satisfy the requirements of the system scheme. |
