The Design, Based On The Wince Platform Multimedia Terminal Software

The thesis designs and realizes the software of a Windows CE-based Multimedia Terminal System. The thesis explains the design of device drivers and application software including the 5.1-channels audio driver, the FM module driver, the audio control programs, the FM radio programs and the image browser.The thesis is organized as follows.Chapter 1 summarizes the current development of the Multimedia Terminals and presents the significance of the research subject.Chapter 2 introduces relevant techniques of Multimedia Terminals, including the selection of mainstream hardware and software platform, video-audio codec techniques and etc.Chapter 3 describes the system design of the Multimedia Terminal, which is based on the AMD Aul200 processor and Windows CE 5.0 embedded operating system.Chapter 4 elaborates on the construction of the system platform and the design of device driver. It includes the design of audio driver and FM module driver. It also introduces problems of system run-time image customization as well as the building of SDK.Chapter 5 explains the application software design of the system Platform including the audio control programs, the FM radio programs, and the design of image browser.Chapter 6 demonstrates the testing of the system.Chapter 7 concludes the research works of the thesis. The outlook for optimizing the system and extending the functions of Multimedia Terminals is also presented.
