With the increasing demands of mobile devices, it is hoped that the mobile terminal is not only a wireless communication device, but also can achieve more functions, such as music and video playing, web browsing, and receive e-mail and so on. Therefore, research on the mobile terminal has important social significance. As more and more applications that added to mobile devices are in need of vast operating system, using operating system becomes necessary. With excellent features, such as open source code, scalable kernel, stable operation, supporting different processors, supporting multi-tasks and multi-file, and feature-rich internet function, embedded Linux is widely used in embedded system. Device driver is an important part, more specifically, a link between hardware and application software in the Linux operating system in the development of embedded system. With the rapid development of the communications and the electronics industry, more and more hardware is designed, more and more device drivers need to be developed. The test analyzes in this paper is based on S3C6410 + FPGA architecture development board as a hardware development platform, while FPGA module is used for achieve the elliptic curve security algorithm. In this paper, embedded Linux is used as a software system, the main contents of the article include build of software environment, describe system transplant process, introduce steps of character device driver design, achieved FPGA device driver design and complete FPGA security algorithm module functional test. The result of the test shows that the software environment in target board has been built successfully; the device drivers in the Linux operating system works well, FPGA security algorithms module test results are consistent with simulation results.
