Mine Reports And News Media

Due to the frequently happened coal mine disaster in recent years, the mass medium of China has carried out abundant and thorough reports which concentrate the news'consensus surveillance on such disasters. These efforts and contributions are gradually agreed and applauded by both the government and the citizens. Based on the essential theory of Journalism, this paper makes clear the developing course of the news'consensus surveillance in the reports of mine disasters. And the paper points out both achievements and shortcomings in the course by combining the research with practical experience of Chinese news reports of mine disasters. Judging from three aspects of the government, the mass medium and the public, the paper gives suggestions on how to strengthen and improve the news'consensus surveillance in the reports of mine disasters.
