It is one of the most important relationships in newspaper selling activities between the newspaper and the reader. The reader become main resources for newspaper. Reader Relationship Management, which derives from CRM, is beneficial for keeping long term relationship, promoting the image of newspaper.Reader Relationship Management is a complex system. There are three necessary conditions for successful Reader Relationship Management application: reader consciousness, modern information technology, the promotion of working procedures. And the four steps of Reader Relationship Management application are: recognition of reader, establishment of reader relationship, keeping of reader relationship, expanding of reader relationship.Reader Relationship Management of newspaper was attached great importance in China, but few newspapers have realized Reader Relationship Management. The Chinese newspaper should strengthen Reader Relationship Management in terms of reader consciousness and construction of information technology etc.
