Synchronization plays an important role in communication systems. It is theprecondition for the processing of information transportations. The performance ofsynchronization will directly influence the performance of communication systems. Thisthesis mainly focused on the design of bit synchronization and carrier synchronization indigital communication systems.The performance of bit synchronization directly influences the performance ofreceived signal's bit error. This thesis mainly discussed one kind of bit. synchronizationalgorithm, which was based on DFT theory. In this algorithm the received code wave wasdivided into transitional section and stable section, we could get the carrier wave amplitudeby doing DFT on the sampling data of every carrier wave in the stable section. Then the bitsynchronization could be realized by analyzing the amplitude. Finally this bitsynchronization algorithm was simulated by Matlab. The results indicated that this schemenot only simplified the demodulation process, reduced the calculation, but also improvedthe noise-resistance.Carrier synchronization is the basis of pertinent demodulation. This thesis discussed afast speed carrier synchronization algorithm based on open-loop. It realized carriersynchronization in the demodulation process by eliminating the frequency windage andphase windage of the native carrier and recieved carrier. This algorithm hasn't feedbackloop, so there is no "hang up" phenomena. In this thesis the algorithm was discusseddetailedly and simulated by Matlab. The results indicated that this scheme could implementcarrier synchronization well.
