Along with the rapid development of computer and communications technology, themicrominiaturization and specialization of computer system has become a new trend.Among it, embedded systems technology as the support of this trend, its product hasinfiltrated into the social life at all levels, and plays an important role in the informationprocessing.In this paper, the content comes from the actual development project, which makesthe building of a supervisory system used in electrical equipment as the background. Aspecific study of the embedded system technology was taken in the traditional fields ofsupervisory system. The main content can be divided into the following three parts:The first part is the research on the embedded supervisory system based applicationplatform. Using the latest Linux 2.6 kernel, this subject built a sound platform forembedded system on the EP9315 hardware platform. In the process of the building,transformation towards the generic kernel was studied integrated the specific application.The second part is the development of the graphical interface system. Friendly userinterface is a great measure of the efficiency of embedded system. By transplanting theframework based on Qt/Embedded to the supervisory system, this project constructs asatisfying graphical user interface (GUI) system using Qt, an object-oriented language.The third part concerns the supervisory system of the electrical equipment. From thesystem work flow and the data flow, a supervisory system based on the modular structurewas constructed and programming using Qt overall assured the extensibility of the system.On the basis of detailed analysis of embedded Linux and embedded GUI system, thispaper discussed the feasibility and superiority of applying both of them to the supervisorysystem. Depending on the fact of the system, the specific content and method forconstrcting the embedded Linux platform and the supervisory system was established.In the supervisory system, the introduction of embedded Linux operating systemreduced the difficulity in developing, and enhanced the system's stability; The modularstructure got system the better versatility and compatibility; Great GUI supportstrengthened the operability of the system.
