With the development of the simulation application,Distributed Simulation System(DSS) based on multi-processors architecture has been popular. The DSS is in need of fast and dependable real-time communication. The traditional means of communication,such as Shared memory and Ethernet,are of great limit. Then it is the Reflective Memory(RM) network that combines the traditional means and fits for the Real-Time Simulation(RTS). At present,there have been mature products of RM abroad,but none in domestic market.This thesis aims to study the related development technology of the real-time communication board in the RTS. And great job has been done to develop a RM card. Firstly,the thesis has made a whole design including hardware and software system of the RM. The hardware system consists of system scheme,board members,as well as chip selecting;and the software ,which is the FPGA inside system,consists of system construction,module function,and interface signals.Also,the running procedure of the FPGA system is analyzed.Secondly, Multiple EDA tools and Verilog HDL language is used to implement each module inside the FPGA with top-to-down programming methodology and complete the data transfer mission between PCI Bus and DDR SDRAM module. The thesis has built a series of complex Finite State Machines(FSM) to perform the 32/64bits data transfer in the Target or Master mode.What`s more,a DMA engine is designed to fulfill the need of mass data block transfer.At last,a Modelsim simulation environment of the object system is gived,while function validation and results analysis has been made. The simulation results indicate that the system is successful.
