Unicom Henan Province Trunk Transmission Network Optimization

China Unicom transmission network is divided into inter-provincial main line transmission network, intra-provincial main line transmission network, and local transmission network. After several years' construction, China Unicom has constructed inter-provincial main line network based on optical transmission technique like SDH and DWDM, which could connect thirty provinces through out the whole country. With the construction and maturity of the service network like GSM, CDMA and long distance data, intra-provincial main line as the support nee of all service network receives more and more attention from enterprise in operation on its network construction and optimization. Intra-provincial main line transmission network is responsible for business transmission and regulation between the main nodes and the construction of it is mainly based on SDH optical transmission technique. It provides support and regulation according to the needs of all service networks. To optimize the network of intra-provincial main line transmission network, the following factors are considered: technique advancement, economy, convenience of protection, network extension, subsistence ability, and ability of communication. The network will be optimized continuously to provide better support to all service networks.This article combining the actual practice of network regeneration of Henan China Unicom transmission network, collecting and citing many basic data and diagrams, analyzes in detail the present condition of Henan China Unicom transmission network, and point out problems existed in it. Makes need analysis of the secondary main line transmission network and map out portfolio mode according to the construction of all service networks, and introduces the present condition and regeneration principles of intra-provincial main line transmission network, and its optimization plan.
