The greatness of Mu Qing lies in his lifelong pursuit of his ideals and cause for the Party and the masses. Whether as a common person or a journalist, he managed to create miracles with his unique philosophy on life and the world both in wartime and peacetime, for which the common people have always adored him.In the hope of exploring the very truth of Mu Qing's life as a party journalist, the essay tries to reveal the traces of the development of his personalities as an individual, from the view of normal human feelings, so as to probe in depth into the vocational behaviors of him as a party journalist. And from the high coincidence between Mu Qing's professional personalities and the ideal personalities for the Chinese journalists, the essay concludes what we can learn from Mu Qing and the possible ways to foster a new generation of journalists with sound and healthy vocational personalities.The article consists of four chapters. Chapter one makes a definition of the personality of journalists and its connotations in the scope of journalism, drawing references to sociology and psychology. Chapter two sums up the different stages in the whole course of Mu Qing's personalities as an individual. Based on the above two chapters, Chapter three shows in details the specific characteristics of Mu Qing's personalities as a journalist. The last chapter further discusses the importance of Mu Qing's personalities as a journalist to the contemporary journalism and the new generation of journalists, and then suggests several ways to realize it.
