Emba Graduate Teaching Management Information Systems Design And Implementation

With the rapid development of modern information technology, the education informationization has been the main stream of education reform and development in the 21st century. Because postgraduate education is the key of knowledge innovation and cultivation for highly qualified talents, how to take advantage of the Internet to establish the scientific management information system in universities is an important problem that we should discuss and resolve deeply.According to the actual situation of teaching management for EMBA in recent years and the experience of using teaching management information system in other universities, we develop a postgraduate teaching management system for EMBA based on the WEB context, which make the teaching management become high performance, convenience, exactness and safety. With these advantages, the teaching management system can make the postgraduate management more scientific and efficient.With the knowledge of computer network, MIS and software engineering, this paper analyzes the requirement, designs the function module, and introduces the selective technique scheme for realizing the system. And we emphasize on the key techniques in the system. Applying object orientated programming method as design principle in the system, we realize the teaching management system for EMBA with ASP programming language and SQL Server 2000 database management system. Finally, considering the problems in system design and debug period, we indicate some aspects that need to be improved, and give some experience in system design.This system has promoted informationization process of the postgraduate education for EMBA in the University of Electric Science and Technology of China. And it has established the network theory and technology foundation for upgrading or developing a new more complicated postgraduate management information system in the future.
