From simple writing information processing to massive multimedia information processing, Science and technology have gradually enhanced, people already entered the time of information explosion. Multimedia information has become the most important part of people's lives. Multimedia information mainly includes writing, sound, picture, graph and video, and the video information is mostessential. Because the digitized video information is extremely huge, it will be compressed first to hold the minimum bandwidth, when video information transmit.After the data compression, people starts to consider how to transmit many video programs in the single channel. Therefore the video multiplexing was born, it has been put into use widely. Since the dedication multiplexer chip has been developed overseas, many multiplexer chips used in China are imported. Many home companies have been engaged in the research and development of multiplexer, but the use of it is often limited, and the price is too high. Therefore, it becomes very significant to produce multiplexer chips of adaptive uses and low cost.based on the multiplexing method and whole course of design, simulation, test etc. Five aspects of work are chiefly carried out as follows.1.ISO/IEC 13818-1 are conducted to the thorough research, the basic theory of TS multiplexing also are introduced in detail: TS structure, PCR principle, function of PMT and PAT.2.Referring to TS, the key technology of multiplexing as modification of PID, reconstruction of PSI and adjustment of PCR is Analyzed.3.Dissertation also illustrates the two processes of realization: multiplexing and interface.4.The process of multiplexer realization and interface realization is elaborated5.Validation of the output TS, analysis of the results.The correctness of using multiplexing and reducing the cost of through interfaces integrated is proved.After the test, this system satisfies the function request, has completed the project task.
