Ac-the Pdp Addressing Driver Chip Research And Design

This paper introduces the development of a new chip which is used as an addressing driver in AC-PDP.Color AC-PDP finds wide market and application perspective in the field of information display since the 21th century. After years of development, most of the technology referred to AC-PDP has come to maturity, however new structures, processes and driving methods are always coming out. Nowadays the struggle among different display instruments is extremely drastic. Compared with the CRT and LCD, AC-PDP has the outstanding merits, while there are still some difficult skills that are waiting to be solved: optimize the structure of driving circuit, heighten the luminescence efficiency, reduce the cost and so on.This project is to design a PDP high voltage driving chip, referring to IC STV7610A which is a product of ST Company, which is based on an overall comprehension of PDP driving circuits(including the scanning driving circuit and the addressing circuit). The most important and difficult point of the project is to realize the logic function of the digital part and design the high voltage componentsThis dissertation introduces the operating principle and system organization of PDP, analyses the circuit topology and function. On the basis of understanding the operating principle of the chip STV7610, the design of the new chip was carried out and the simulation of the circuitwas completed, ensuring the possibility of the circuit. Finally the layout of the circuit was finished conforming to the design rule. Many other aspects were also shown, including the structures of HV components, the process that can compact high-voltage and low-voltage devices on one chip. The tapeout of the chip was carried out in silan Hangzhou. The test results are also carefully explained.
