What is more, the conflict between the media and the public become obvious day by day. However, the media law can not be published in time, how can we avoid the dispute or lawsuit, protect the public' s trust in media ,not to hurt the public' s rights at the same time .It is one of the most important things not to reduce the space of the media because of the wrong behavior .It is also what the media jobholders should think about and try best.In this aspect, the self-regulation of the Western countries has provided a very good enlightenment and the reference to us. The present paper take Canada as an example, introduces the Canadian medium self-regulation historical origin and the theory origin. Canada's medium environment receives the t influence of the US liberalism thought, they emphasize the media authority and the freedom, simultaneously and further because for excessively free brings series of questions. However, starting discusses which along with the social responsibility; the Canadian medium self-regulation gradually carries out and improved.In this paper, we introduce the Canadian nationwide self-regulation organization: Canadian Association of Journalists, Canadian Associationof Broadcastes, The Radio Television News Directors Association of Canada. And the local self-regulation organization: the Ontario press committee. The ethics code of CBC is also be included as a representative media individual.
