This paper, analyzed the stringent requirement of solving last step of agriculture information system in Chinese rural, based on the Chinese rural communication infrastructure status and the actual consumption capacity, put forward the STB of information household appliances of narrowband boldly -Concept of the TN-18 Information machine. Utilized ripe, inexpensive and wireless call system- the regular telephone network, adopted POSCAG encoding, received and transmitted by DTMF, introduced IC read-write, television harmonious and infrared remote control etc. relevant technology and principle, finally proposed overall design and function modules. Brought forward the circuit project of "the TN-18 Information machine ", designed the detailed circuit and circuit boards drawing, finally manufactured the printed circuit boards.The machine prototype in view of the above was made. Used testing platform to adjust and examine circuit board, united adjusting to software and hardware and each function module, in the course of debugging faced a lot of circuit design and software problem which were solved one by one of among course. Finally the machine prototype was achieved the anticipative functional requirements, such as information management, information storage, information on demand. The TN-18 information machine operated simply, and in line with user habits, passed the National Information Industry Ministry quality control inspection center of mobile communication equipment of Beijing and national telephone quality control test of inspection center. Furthermore it was gained the Network Access License for Telecommunications Equipment.TN-18 Information machine Was Cooperated with local CHINA UNICOM and popularize trying running In Mudanjiang City and Yichun City of Heilongjiang province. Proved that this manufacture has wide application prospects. According to different application, fixed and added the new function through the software according to the request of operator also besides existing function in different province.
