The logistics industry come back to how to reduce the transport cost, inventory cost and improve the service level after high speed development in these years . The competition advantage of a company is that how to get the biggest profit as expending the lowest cost. The logistics company should keep ahead one step if it want to be in high speed development and grandness. So the logistics companies should know what can bring much more business and how to do the cost control. This understanding or business intelligence (BI) need to get the useful information from their business system.The logistics companies have already had a great many customers and business data along with the investment of IT businedss system. Scientific management and reasonable development of these internal and external information resources has become to be the key of right strategy and competition enhancement in the enterprise. The business intelligence solution in this article is how to help the logistics company deal with the data intelligentizedly and deliver the timely, accurate strategy evidence. This project is focus on how to establish the data warehouse by ETL process and how to gernate the report by Microstrategy software. At first we establish the data warehouse by (ETL) extract-transform-load from the business system. The report center can help the senior managers to analyse the business data and adjust company strategy, forecast future, it means that the managers can find the business direction by history business information analyse.The author is focus on data warehouse establishment and the report making in this project. In this project, the author is aware that the importance of the data warehouse when establish the report center, by this project, the author also feel the value of business intelligence in logistics industry. The business intelligence successful application in logistucs will lead the new IT instauration and new management idea.
