Design And Realization Of Bank Report Form System Based On Data Warehouse

A Report form is a very important basis for an enterprise's leader to know operation situation, revise a business strategy and make a long term decision. Hence, an accurate and timely report forms system is critical. Facing the fierce competition among the financing industry, sufficient understanding and analysis on statistics and information contained in the report forms are needed for commercial banks, so as to help the leaders better understand the operation and make decisions. However, because of the dispersion of the conventional report forms system and the difference in range of the statistics gathering, the accuracy of the result can not be guaranteed. Besides, the platform and the ways of statistics gathering are too fixed and couldn't adapt to analyze the ever-changing content of the report forms comprehensively.So, it's not encouraged to design and make a report forms system in a traditional way. Instead, we need a data warehouse and a data analyzing technology to provide a strong support for the managing and strategic development of banks and enterprises. As a large project, however, to build a data warehouse should be based on a practical application and over all plans. And to build a report forms system based on a data warehouse is just the key point to the application.This paper is given under a background of a report forms system built in Chongqing Rural Credit Cooperatives. In this paper, a research and development process in building a data warehouse-based report forms system in Chongqing Rural Credit Cooperatives is outlined, in which the framework is designed as building a data warehouse and a central idea "over-all plan, step-by-step and to follow in order". In details, this paper deals with some technical problems of the system design, based on the prospect of financing and IT technologies and the present condition of Chongqing Rural Credit Cooperatives. Also, statistics gathering, DW model building, reports forms standardizing and displaying are introduced and discussed. The new report forms system, based on a data warehouse, not only is improved much in aspects of the efficiency and the accuracy of statistics compared with the traditional one, but also can give a statistical analysis on the data. Therefore, this new system is more flexible and extensible and lays a good foundation for the further development of the enterprise's information construction.At last, in this paper a prospect of this system is programmed on a conclusion of the present performance of the relevant technologies.
