As to the competition between the mobile communication vendors today, the QoS (Quality of Service) of the network has become the key factor. At the present time, network testing is the main method to find out the quality defect and step up the QoS level of the network. But, the capabilities of TRA (Testing Reporting and Analyzing) are comparatively lag behind. Based on the actuality, this thesis analyzes the existent problem of network testing, and advances the GIS (Geographic Information System) based TRA system, which supports multiple equipments and multiple protocols.Firstly, this thesis introduces the background, definition and application scenario of the GIS. And then, it analyzes the tight relation between GIS and network testing. Afterwards, it introduces the characteristic of the GIS spatial data, and how to construct the GIS spatial database with ORACLE. Via spatializing the relational data, optimizing the storing, and integrating the mass database with GIS analysis engine, the system implements the capacity of collecting, storing and analyzing the testing data in Terabyte level, and elevates the analysis speed and efficiency.There are various testing equipments, and the standards and protocols the interface supports are not unifiable among the equipments. This thesis immediately talks about the theory of spatial information sharing and data interacting in XML application. The system implements the analysis and data conversion among various protocols of the various driving test equipments and air interfaces. And with the support of various interface adapters, the system implements the uniform interactive interface for database.Lastly, the thesis briefly introduces the theory of the mobile communication, the structure of the communication network and the function of each component. And then elucidates the factors impacting the quality of the network, and advances the effect of network testing in optimizing the quality of network and promoting the service level. The thesis elucidates the design of the software system from three aspects, the software environment, the system requirements and the structure as a whole. According to the real task of network testing, the system design can be divided into several models including testing data management, evaluating report management, CQT (Call Quality Test) data management, complaint data management, base station data management, map, test data analyzing, CQT data analyzing, system management, etc, and the system mostly meet the requirements of various test data analysis of network.The system can not only resolve the problem of inefficient testing and powerless analysis by manual, but also primarily implements the automatic analysis of vast test data. Whilst, the system can not only produce a benign circumstance for recording and analyzing test data of GSM system, but also provide crucial reference evidence for technician to design and optimize the mobile communication network.
