Zope is a perfect open source Web application Server, Plone is a content management system based on Zope. Zope/Plone is applicable for internet/intranet Server and CMS. Zope/Plone is charactered by the friendly interface and simple operation. Designer can build a knowledge Web site containing common-used functions without programming.At the present time, the majority of the school internet/intranet web sites and the platform of educaton have a lot of problem in it, such as the high cost, the long developing period, maintaining troube and so on. But Zope/Plone can solve these problem.The research of this article is based on this. The writer, as a postgraduate student specializing in education, not only studys the constructivism, collaborative learning and content management theory, but also studys the techonology of Zope/Plone. Especially, the writer studys how to associate these education theories with Zope/Plone, and how to apply these education theories to educational Web application system based on Zope/Plone.The writer has found a lot of documents about Zope/Plone through internet searching. Writer has studied these documents carefully for a long time, kept on experimenting on computer. So writer has mastered the technique of the building of web sites based on Zope/Plone. On the other hand, writer has studied the products of Zope/Plone like coreblog2, ZWiki and Ploneboard and so on carefully. Especially, writer has studied how to apply education theories to these products. The writer applys the software engineering theory to built a commonly-used educational Web application system , this system includes various common application in education, the constructivism, collaborative learning and content management theory materialize in this system, the writer has solved a lot of difficulty in the developing process, such as the coreBlog2 chineselization and the site's backing up_ migration. Currently, the system is running perfectly and is receiving the feedback from teachers and students..In conclusion, Zope/Plone is a good choice of building educational Web application system easily for people who work in education.
