Acquisition and processing of atmosphere data have important position and effection in unmanned aerial vehicle, and it is very necessary to ensure flight's safety and guarantee manipulators who are on the ground to lead flight accurately and accomplish the task. Nowadays single chip microcomputer is used as atmosphere data computer in most atmosphere data measuring system in unmanned aerial vehicle, but it has the disadvantages of poor anti-jamming and slow processing rate in high-speed data acquisition and processing system, and these disadvantages influence stability and real time performance of the measuring system.The paper uses FPGA chip as atmosphere data processor and makes an example of air pressure altitude, and introduces an air pressure altitude measuring system based on FPGA technology in unmanned aerial vehicle. The measuring system effectively solves single chip microcomputer's problems of slow processing rate and poor real time performance in atmosphere data measuring system in high-speed unmanned aerial vehicle, because FPGA has the characters of high reliability, high rate, strong logic function, and so on.Firstly, the paper introduces the basic structure and the working principle and the design flow of FPGA and VHDL hardware description language which is adopted by FPGA. At the same time, the paper has an introduction of the basic composition and the working principle of digital atmosphere data measuring system, and discusses the principle and method of air pressure altitude measurement in detail.Secondly, the paper puts forward the whole design of air pressure altitude measuring system in unmanned aerial vehicle based on FPGA, and has the particular analysis and design for hardware circuit of the measuring system. And then, the paper introduces the software design in the air pressure altitude measuring system, and discusses the function and the inside structure and the working flow of every function module which is designed in FPGA.Finally, the paper has the simulations of function and time sequence by Modelsim and QuartusII software, and validates the validity of every function module and whole design of FPGA.
