In the GSM mobile communication network, mobile station communicates withbase station through electromagnetic wave. Under the influence of geography, plant,building and moving objects, electromagnetic wave will reflect, diffract, scatter, andcause signal multipath time delay and Doppler frequency spread, make the quality ofcommunication bad. So, researching the characteristic of wave propagation in differentenviroments, choosing the fit propagation model to calculate and estimate thereceiption level are very important for working out the construction planning well.In the Sichuan Mobile Corporation's "JiuZhai Heaven" extending capacityproject, author used wireless wave propagation theory, selected propagation model ofJiuZhaiGou scenic area, calculated and estimated wireless wave propagation loss,proved and compared realization planning, resolved many actual problems in thewhole design programming. After the extending capacity project finished, authorsolved some typical network quality problems in the partial district using networkoptimization method.
