Seismic data has been widely applied in the field of the geophysical exploration, development and studies as the raw, fundamental data to describe the large quantities of geophysical and geological informations. As the mount of data becomes larger, the traditional inquiry system could not meet the need of management of large-scale data and it would take the geophysical scientists and engineers a lot of energy and time to obtain the data that they need.Therefore, the Changqing Oilfield Company Geophysical Research Institute of Exploration and Development Center introdued Schlumberger Expeditor software for building an earthquake database in August 2005. Expeditor system can achieve the post-stack seismic pre-stack seismic data and related storage management, automatically seismic data library backup and migration. At the same time, Expeditor has been directly connected with the explanation system which could support the exploration and processing and interpretation comprehensive research working collaboratively. This software has been installed on Unix system and arranged in the Oil-Production network. However, the majorities of software users get used to Windows system and prefer friendly user interface it provides. Therefore, we develop seismic a database system interface which could enable the seismic dates in Oracle automatically update those in SQL Server.According to the related data table in Oracle, the interface obtain a data dictionary and based on which the corresponding data sheets would be established.This interface could improve the traditional data service and hide the complexity in operating the professional database. It would pave an effective way for technical staff to access the seismic data and reduce labor effort which could significantly enhance the efficiency.
